Online-Registration-System is closed.

We have 154 regular entries.

From now on only "Late-Entry" is possible. (until we are 200 sailors)
If the regatta is NOT in Finland, sailors from the new hosting country don't have to pay double entry-fee.

Sailors who have until now no Insurance-ID and probably intend to make a late-entry can

a) send their confirmation to me and will get an Insurance-ID. With thaht they can make a "Late-Entry" online or at the race-office.
b) show their confirmation at the race-office to me first. They take the risk, that something is NOT ok with the insurance and that they won't be allowed to start.

why am I not really astonished to read such a comment especially from you ?

First of all the decision is done in the normal democratic way we use since many, many years in IDNIYRA-Europe.
It is not our fault, who all where at the National Secretaries Meeting, that no representative of Sweden has been there.

This idea is NOT to have cheaper fees. This idea is to have insurances over all.
We have to learn and to realize that it is not important to have material damage covered.
It is important to have personal damage or injuries covered.

And I am convinced that your claim of 3.700,-- € is much too high.
This means that you have a total damage of your boat. For that price you get a new hull with plank and chocks.

After the accident of Richard Gustring and Hennie van den Brink Swedish sailors had lost their insurance company. Also the Danish sailors had a lot of troubles.
Until now not all claims are paid !!

These are the important things and not if you get more money for a reparation of your boat than it is worth.

Think about that and keep calm.

Let's have safe sailing, let's have fun and let's hope that we never need our insurances for sever reasons.

Dear friends,

three days ago I thought to write the last interim-report.

But now I realized that we received 20 entries within the last 72 hours.
In the same time I received 14 confirmations of cover.

Now we have 188 entries and 228 Insurance-IDs (03. January 2012; 17:10 CET)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
220 entries are allowed because experience says that the estimated number of sailors who register and do not show up is 10%.

Deadline for registration is 08. January 2012 24:00 CET. If we reach 220 before, a "regular" entry is not possible anymore.
In this case I have to close registration by hand. If I miss that, every registration more than 220 will be deemed as "Late-Entry" - even if it is listed as "regular".

"Late-Entry" is only possible if less than 200 sailors show up at the regatta check-in.

So those of you, who have not registered yet, but want to take part in any case, should hurry up to register.

Dear friends,

to avoid any misunderstanding I have to inform that the so called “Single Event Insurance” is only for sailors from countries where we know that they do not have any chance to get a proper insurance or an insurance for a tolerable amount.
 
First of all the goal is, that every sailor should have an insurance for the whole season. Not only at WC and EC.
Second: We try to have a spread of the risk.
 
So the idea of the "Single Event Insurance" is only to make it every sailor possible to take part at WC (when held in Europe) and EC – not to make it easy for everyone to get an insurance.
 
Please accept that not everybody who is asking for, will get a "Single Event Insurance".

Dear friends,

I just wanted to remind that according to the NOR the deadline for checking the insurances is 06. January 2012 24:00 (CET)
It may happen that you will get an answer on 07. January 2012.

Deadline for regular entry is 08. January 2012 - if there are no more than 220 entries earlier.

It is your own responsibility to send the insurance in time to be able to have a regular entry.
