RESULTS Sunny Ranking


Season is over, at least for the races in Finland. We managed to sail on Saturday all 6 races
in winds of 3-5 m/s. Ice was soft from some places but insert runners worked as well as angles.
In lake Pyhäjärvi we had only 11 DN:s racing and 3 Optis on the ice. Day was cloudy and we got little
rain also for a half on hour during the day. Otherwise very interesting races.
On the evening nice discussions, dinner and sauna as usual.
On Sunday there was heavy wind and the rain during the night made ice too soft for safe sailing. So we packed our boats and wait now for the Vikajärvi on week 46.

Race is on!
Today ice is still hard. Warm days are predicted but nights keep cool and ice should stay
hard. No snow and clear ice.


Skippers meeting Saturday at 9 am at Lomasakyla beach.
Accommodation will be 10km from launching site because Lomasakyla is temporarily closed.

Hi,

It has been lot of icesailing during the past weekends and we would like to welcome all DN sailors to sail season ending Sunny Regatta in Finland.
Ice is now great here in many places and still hard and smooth.
Today Pyhäjärvi in Säkylä for example was in good condition, see picture.
Our primary site is Säkylä.
Preliminary schedule:
Skippers meeting Sat 24th March  at 9.00 in Lomasäkylä.
Total of 10 races in two days.

Next info latest on Wednesday.
